Open Post-Doc Position!
I have a position available to fill before end of 2022 (start date flexible). Broadly, project area would focus on determining how novel steroid receptors control brain and behavior in a social cichlid fish.
Our research is at the interface of genetics, molecular biology, neuroscience, and social behavior. The hired postdoc has the freedom to pursue research emphasizing any of these aspects to whatever degree they decide.
The lab is currently accepting applications for graduate students (through the University of Houston Developmental, Cognitive, and Behavioral Neuroscience Program and the Department of Biology and Biochemistry). If you are interested in joining the lab, please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your interests in joining the lab to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Undergraduates interested in research: Please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your interests in joining the Alward lab specifically. On average we get one email a day from undergrads interested in the lab; a generic email likely will not be enough.
